After you have completed the course and you are satisfied that your poem is complete, you have the option to vie to be a winner in the jimmorenopoetryclasses.com Quarterly Poetry Contest. The inaugural contest winners will be announced September 30, 2019.
There is no extra fee to enter the contest. You simply send your completed poem (only 1 entry per poet) to me at jimmoreno95@gmail.com with Quarterly Poetry Contest in the subject line. If our records show that you have not paid for your class you will not be considered in the running for an award.
First Place is $100, 2nd Place is $50, 3rd Place is $25, and two honorable mention poets receive $10 each. The winning poems will be shown on this page until the next Quarterly contest. First Rights refer back to you if you are a winner so you still own the copyright to your poem and are free to publish it somewhere else. If you have any questions about the contest please contact me.
